Dr. Gates graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic- Davenport, IA in 2016. After graduation he continued education and specialized in Upper Cervical Procedures/NUCCA at McNally Spinal Care in Tomah, WI from Feb. 2016-Feb. 2020. During his time at McNally Spinal Care was able to complete Level One of NUCCA board certification as well as complete the first year of a Diplomate in Cranio-Cervical Junction Procedures (DCCJP). The DCCJP focuses heavily on complex disorders of the head/neck and research supporting upper cervical chiropractic and its efficacy of treating these conditions.

Outside the office Dr. Gates enjoys long distance running, traveling, spending time with family and all Detroit sports teams.
Mario Cortes, DC
NUCCA Chiropractor
Dr. Cortes believes every human has the right and potential of living a life with health and vitality. Hippocrates, father of western medicine, wisely said to always first look at the spine for the cause of dis-ease. “My role as your chiropractor is to re-establish the most important, and yet neglected, relationship in your life: the one with your spine.”
Originally from Mexico, Dr. Cortes has followed since a young age the path of the healing arts. After completing a 200 hour Yoga teacher training and studies in psychology and meditation, he found his true passion within Chiropractic and more specifically the NUCCA specialty. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 2016. Following graduation Dr. Cortes furthered his training by specializing in the NUCCA procedure with Dr. Patricia Gregg at Back N Balance in Austin.
His passion and commitment to the brain-stem as the vital foundation of health led him to become part of the Atlas Head & Spine team in 2020, where he now works on the studies and development of The Atlas Correction method and its implications on human health.
